What Is CBD?
Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is one of the hundreds of compounds found in cannabis. CBD works on your body’s endocannabinoid system.
Hemp-derived CBD is legal on the federal level as a result of the Farm Act of 2018. As long as the extract contains less than 0.3% or less of THC, then it’s legal. The only caveat is that a few states still place a lot of restrictions on hemp-derived products simply because they don’t differentiate between hemp and cannabis.
Unlike THC, CBD is not a psychoactive drug. It will not make the user feel high or stoned. The most common effect CBD has on people is a relaxed feeling. Further, CBD is known to counteract the negative side-effects of THC, like anxiety.
